The main food of the African Jacana is freshwater insects, larvae, spiders, crustaceans and molluscs. The African Jacana forages for food by walking across daffodils. When any of them saw a threat lurking, they would immediately shout out a warning.


Thus, the African Jacanas who are members of the colony will soon realize that they can then rush to escape.
